The recall is related to Air Bag deployment. Apparently, the combination of stitching heated/cooled seats prevents PODS (Passenger Occupant Detection System) to operate properly. That means that in case of emergency the car might not deploy an air bag as PODS didn’t communicate there is someone in the seat.

]]> The recent public unveiling of the 2015 Audi A6 has car enthusiasts very excited over the sleek new design features and upgrades.
Although the new 2015 Audi A6 isn’t a total redesign, it’s obvious the famed German manufacturer pointed their attention to a few key details.

Exterior changes include refinements of:

the headlights
air inlets
bumpers
rear lighting
exhaust pipe
and the single frame grille

Interior changes focus on making the Audi A6 a contender in the vehicular technology space. Some of those improvements include:

a speech dialogue system allowing the driver to speak text messages, music commands, and phone calls
blind spot monitoring systems
adaptive cruise control

The engine roster for the new A6 offers four different options, one FSI engine and three different TFSI options. The range of horsepower covers a wide breadth from 190 to a whooping 333 HP. There are actual test drive reviews you can find online. We aren’t lucky enough yet to get that invitation…

The overall consensus is that the 2015 A6 is a fantastic upgrade on an already fantastic line of cars. It has been said that the new release of the A6 further blurs the line between the A6 model and the A8 model. However, with the upgrade in quality of the A6 I don’t think too many people will mind that the model lines are blurring, they’re most certainly blurring in a positive direction.

The CEO of Audi Rupert Stadler stated that ages for double-digit growth on the Chinese market for Audi are already in the past.
“The market in China is normal. This year we expect market growth of 8%”, said Stadler at the presentation of the new Audi Q7 in Switzerland. For the company China has been so far the most important market. Last year, the Ingolstadt-based manufacturer sold there almost 579,000 cars and thus realized a growth of 17.7%. Worldwide Audi sales totaled 1.74 million cars.
The fact that this year the market has cooled significantly to the Audi, can be seen from the data for April. With supplies to over 45,000 cars increased from 0.2% compared to the previous month. From January to April accustomed to success company has sold nearly 179,000 new vehicles, an increase of 5.2% on an annual basis.
Stadler does not believe that the normalization of the Chinese market will affect the purpose of the Audi 2020 to become the most successful manufacturer of premium manufacturers, ahead of BMW and Daimler.
“We are not so naive to believe that each year there will be growth in the range of 20 to 25%”, said the manager. Accordingly, normalizing market there is set in the strategy of the Group.
According to Stadler one of the reasons for the cooling of the Chinese market is the anti-corruption campaign of the Chinese government. The times in which some Chinese have bought two or three cars are already gone. However, China remains an important market for the brand. In perspective, according to Stadler year there might be sold to 30 million cars of all brands and manufacturers. Of these, about 9% will be for the premium segment.
To counter the negative trend, Audi will rely on the development of its distribution network and new markets within the country where it is not represented, such as the western parts of mainland China. Stadler expected significant growth from plug-in hybrids and series models Q. Since Chinese is becoming more difficult to be able to obtain a registration number, the company relies on its hybrid cars, with the possibility to go up to 30 km only on electricity included in the category of electric vehicles and therefore are not obliged to participate in the lottery numbers. Next year the market will come produced in the country A6 e-tron.

Audi RS6 ABT tuning

Recently the company Abt Sportsline presented his version of the Audi RS6 Avant, which had 666 hp. Now tuners are ready to provide even greater power to the owners of the German wagon. Their new tuning package delivers power of 700 hp and 880 Nm of torque. They are drained by 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, which is equipped with a new control unit and a sports exhaust system. Increased capacity enables wagon to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in only 3.4 seconds, and to develop 320 km/h.
Tuning includes minor visual changes that are expressed by placing the carbon covers of rear-view mirrors, sport springs and 20- or 22-inch wheels ABT ER-C. Tuners described the car as “striking, but not arrogant”. Prices not reported, but from Cars Tuning blog consider that the prices of the whole tuning package start from 12,000 EUR.

Audi RS6 wagon tuning

The Swedish skier Jon Olsson, champion of extreme games X-Games 2008, presented his personal RS6 wagon, which is processed in the style of car series DTM. The power of the machine is 950 hp, but if it is loaded with special fuel, the engine can develop more than 1000 hp
Olsson revealed that always liked cars series DTM and why this project for a long time was in his plans. The main feature of the RS6 is the carbon bodywork used cars in the German Touring Car championship. It was made by the company Caresto, led by former chief engineer of the brand Koenigsegg – Leif Turvenson. The material itself was bought personally by Olsson from the factory producing materials for cars Pagani. The car shines with many amazing and really beautiful feature and the tuning is fantastic. The chip-tuning of the engine uses perfectly the whole power and maximum torque to give high acceleration and really great dynamics.
With the tuning of the power unit are engaged experts from the studio Stertman Motorsport. They have put a V8 engine of 4.0 liters and power 560 hp, special chip tunnig with 3 levels are replaced standard turbine and exhaust system and suspension.
The design is the work of studio Wrapzone, which works on the car Rebellion R2K, which Olson participated last year in intercontinental marathon rally Gumball 300. The new machine Swede will play in this year’s race, which started on 23 May in Stokhlom ( CHF) and finished on May 30 in Las Vegas (USA).

Audi A6 C7 AllRoad has fantastic tuning by MTM, which makes it more aggressive and really faster. Audi Allroad is a very impressive all-rounder and offers an ideal platform for the modification at MTM. The MTM options are designed to release the delights of an exhilarating drive experience, delivering a pure awe-inspiring all terrain diving-dynamic combined with outstanding handling. The tuners make a performance updagrade of the 3.0 liter engine, which give it 333 hp and higher maximum torque. The standard wheels are replaced by Rimset MTM bimoto wheel in the dimension 8×18 ET 25 LK 5×112 including 10mm adapter kit to center 66.50 mm. Audi RS6-R is special modification by ABT Sportsline tuning, which is based on Audi RS6. The company made amazing design of the car and implemented more power by ABT Power package. This kit includes the ABT Engine Control unit, which is specially developed software also with adapted stainless steel exhaust system, increasing power and making superb vision with two double end pipes. With this power package the Audi RS6-R ABT get maximum power of super-car of 730 hp or 537 kW at 5700 rpm with maximum torque of 900 Nm at 1850 rpm. The car aggressive and has impressive dynamics, as the top speed reaches 320 km/h and the acceleration to 100 km/h is 3.3 sec. Moreover, the tuning masters from ABT Sportsline maintained the CO2 emissions of the car to same as the standard version, despite the improvement of the engine and power.

But as many car fans say, power is not everything. ABT Sportsline made the Audi RS6-R more like sports car, the engineers used an ABT height adjustable spring kit. The Dunlop high-performance tyres over the lavish 22-inch ABT DR alloy wheels are making the vision even more aggressive and improve the dynamics of the car. Since it would be difficult to see the car in the rear-view mirror, ABT added to the interior letterings and embroidery that are as discreet as they are tasteful. Audi RS6 avant

Abt Sportsline company introduced a new tuning package for the Audi RS6 Avant. It offers simple changes in the interior and more power for 4.0-liter V8 engine. As for the visual part of the tuning, it offers only carbon covers for the side mirrors and a sports exhaust system. Extra charge offer special shades, which exhibit the company logo at the doors. Changes in the interior are even smaller, and include placement of branded carpet mats.
A curious change is under the hood. It works standard 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine that after reprogramming the electronic control delivers 106 hp more. Intentionally or not, its power is rooted to 666 hp. The torque reaches even 830 Nm, whereby the acceleration of the spot 100 km/h becomes less than 3.9 seconds. The maximum speed is 300 km/h.
There is currently no information on prices of tuning.

Vilner Audi tuning

The Bulgarian tuning studio Vilner automotive design presented its version of the Audi RS6 Avant. The car show unique interior and increased power. Developing interior is discrete and is created entirely by Bulgarian masters. It relies on made of black suede ceiling and the same material is used for the rear view mirror. Plastic parts on it you have received special attention through rubber coating in black to be able to communicate with the overall look of the interior, according to information from Vilner. Added color and belts in blue, contrasting with the snow-white leather seats.
